This Privacy Policy explains how The Tribute Times (tributetimes.co.nz), operated by Col McCabe, collects, uses, and protects your personal information, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
When you create or purchase a Keepsake, we collect: the recipient's name and date; the country and, if provided, country of residence; your name and email address; any personal message you write; and, for printed orders, a delivery address. If you pay by card, payment is processed by Stripe and we do not see or store your full card details. If you pay by GCash, we collect the payment reference details needed to verify your payment.
We use this information to generate your Keepsake, process your payment, fulfil and deliver your order, and provide customer support. Personalised message text and recipient details are used only to produce your Keepsake and are not shared with third parties for any other purpose.
If you complete a purchase, we may send you occasional emails about your order (including a one-time discount code for a future purchase) and, if you opt in at checkout, occasional emails about new products, occasions, or offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any such email, or by contacting us at hello@tributetimes.co.nz. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect order-related emails about a purchase you've made.
To provide our service, we share limited data with: Stripe (payment processing); Supabase (secure database hosting); Resend (transactional email delivery); and Anthropic (to generate the historical content and personalised message text in your Keepsake — recipient name, date, and message details are sent to this service solely to produce your Keepsake's content). Each of these providers only receives the information needed to perform their specific function.
We retain order and Keepsake records for as long as needed to provide support, meet our accounting and legal obligations, and (where you've consented) for marketing purposes. You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time, subject to any records we're legally required to keep.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. To make a request, contact hello@tributetimes.co.nz.
Our website uses only the minimal cookies/local storage needed for the site to function (such as keeping you signed in to a partner portal). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Our service is intended for use by adults purchasing keepsakes as gifts. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this address.
